Our Craft Beer Tasting Notes
Our craft beers are made from the highest quality malts, hops and yeast using the full mash-in process. No malt extracts, chemicals, preservatives or artificial flavourings are used in any of the brewing processes. Our beers are not filtered they are simply made with patience, allowing time for the beer to settle-out prior to kegging or bottling.
We will be opening for beer sales and tastings by appointment soon.
In the mean time our beer is currently pouring at:

RedTale
RedTale is an Irish style red ale. It is well balanced and only moderately hopped. It’s the original brewer, Allan Shaw’s, favourite style of beer and proving to be very popular. It is conditioned and served on “multi-mix” gas (70% nitrogen and 30% carbon dioxide), which makes for a smooth creamy beer.
RedTale takes its name from the Red-Tail Cockatoo endemic to the southwest region

Bucks Bitter
Bucks Bitter is a pale ale designed to appeal to the palate of beer lovers used to Australian style “lagers”. It is light in colour with a simple malt profile, moderately hopped with a combination of different hops, including the Australian classic, Pride of Ringwood.
Bucks Bitter is named after the township of Buckingham to the east of Collie, known colloquially as Bucks.

Blue Marron Lager
Blue Marron Lager is a genuine European style pilsner lager. It is brewed and fermented out in the time-honoured low-temperature lagering process. It is light in colour with strong hop bouquet and is an ideal summer beer.
It is named for the rarer blue marron, endemic to the lager’s birthplace

Powerhouse Pale Ale
PowerHouse Pale Ale is a true character beer of the India Pale Ale type. It is heavily hopped with an imported American hop. It has a more complex malt profile than Bucks Bitter with some crystal malt used in the mash, resulting in a darker colour and a touch of residual sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops.
PowerHouse Pale Ale is named in recognition of Collie as the power centre of WA.

Moorhead Stout
Moorhead is an Irish cream stout. It is lightly hopped but has a complex malt profile leaving hints of coffee and chocolate on the palate. It too is conditioned and served on “multi-mix” gas, resulting in a rich creamy head and full-bodied flavour.
Moorhead is named after an old nearby railway siding and locality.
